Structured Cabling Your IT Team Can Rely On
Classrooms, offices, factories and port terminals all run on the cabling in their walls and ceilings. We plan every data point with you, run CAT6A from the outlet to the comms rack, terminate and label each link and hand over test results, working after hours or in the school holidays where you need it.
CAT6A as Standard
More than 9 in 10 of our data cabling jobs since 2021 used CAT6A, rated for 10 Gb/s to 100 m.
Labelled and Tested
Each link is labelled at both ends and tested, with results handed over at completion.
Wi-Fi, Cameras and Racks
Cabling for wireless access points, IP cameras and comms cabinets from the same team.
Need Fibre Too?
For links between buildings and comms rooms, see our fibre network cabling.
Data Cabling Work We Do Every Week
The same scope items turn up across hundreds of our data cabling jobs, so our crews and stock are set up for them.

Data Points and Outlets
CAT6A outlets for desks, classrooms, ceilings and walls, terminated on Molex or Panduit jacks.

Comms Racks and Cabinets
Floor and wall-mount cabinets supplied and installed, with power rails, cable management and earthing.

Patch Panels and Patching
Every cable terminated on a labelled patch panel and patched to your switches with matching leads.

Cable Runs and Pathways
Cable tray, catenary and conduit installed so new cabling is supported, protected and easy to add to.

Testing and Certification
Each link tested and documented at handover, as certified Molex and Panduit systems require for the 25-year warranty.

Moves, Adds and Changes
Outlets added or relocated for new layouts, old CAT5e replaced and redundant cable removed.

From Site Walk to Test Results
A clear process from the first site visit to the handover documents.
Site Walk and Outlet Plan
We walk the site with you, mark up each data point and check ceilings, walls and the comms room.
Design and Quote
Cable type, outlet count, pathways and rack hardware, set out line by line in your quote.
Install and Terminate
Our crew runs the cable, terminates each outlet and patch panel port, and dresses the rack.
Test, Label and Hand Over
Each link is tested and labelled, then we hand over the results and as-built details.
A 25-Year Warranty on Certified Systems
We're a certified Molex and Panduit installer, so qualifying copper and fibre systems we install carry the manufacturer's 25-year product warranty.
Molex hardware is on 900 of our data cabling jobs since 2021 and Panduit on more than 500, and each certified system is tested and documented at handover.

CAT6, CAT6A or Fibre
CAT6A suits most new data points. Fibre takes over for links between comms rooms and buildings, and we confirm the mix at the site walk.
| Compared | CAT6 | CAT6A | Fibre optic |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | Small offices and short runs at 1 Gb/s | New fit-outs, Wi-Fi access points and PoE devices | Links between comms rooms and buildings |
| Speed and reach | 1 Gb/s to 100 m, or 10 Gb/s to about 55 m | 10 Gb/s to 100 m | 10 Gb/s and up, from 300 m to 10 km |
| Power over Ethernet | Yes | Yes, and handles high-power PoE better | No, data only |
| Cable size | Thinner and easier to run in tight spaces | Thicker, needs more room in trays and conduit | Thin and light, unaffected by electrical interference |

Looking for Fibre Optic Cabling?
Fibre carries the links copper can't: between buildings, up risers and on any run longer than 90 metres.
Since 2021, 336 of our data cabling jobs have included fibre as well, so one team can cable the whole site.
